Job summary

OP Mobility is seeking a Site EHS Technician for its Spring Hill, Tennessee plant. This role involves leading the safety culture, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, and acting as the voice for EHS-related issues. The ideal candidate will engage in accident investigations, conduct safety orientations, and develop programs to promote safety awareness within the facility.

The Site EHS Technician will work closely with management and employees to create a safer work environment through active participation in safety initiatives and committees.

Qualifications

• Experience with Top Safety Visits.
• Familiarity with U-Cart Log.
• Engagement in CSR Activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion safety culture in the Plant.
• Act as in-plant voice for EHS issues.
• Verify compliance with EHS standards through audits.
• Review written procedures for accuracy.
• Lead Safety Committee and participate in accident investigations.
• Track training database and compliance.
• File EHS & Safety documentation.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientation.
• Create new programs for safety awareness.
• Coordinate waste handling and emergency procedures.
• Implement recycling initiatives.
• Maintain inventory of safety data sheets.
• Lead monthly Safety Kaizens.

SITE EHS TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

• Leads and champions the overall engagement and "safety culture" in the Plant.
• Acts as in-plant voice for EHS related issues, concentrating on at risk behaviors and conditions throughout the facility
• Verifies compliance with EHS standards, through auditing, observations and inspections
• Reviews written procedures to verify accuracy; lockout, & SOP’s
• Leads Safety Committee
• Participates in accident investigations and follow up on corrective actions identified through completion
• Tracks the following programs and identifies deficiencies; training database, roll-out compliance, and safety inspections
• Files EHS & Safety documentation according to both company and legal guidelines
• Conducts new-hire safety orientation
• Creates new programs and initiatives to increase overall safety awareness and engagement for plant employees.
• Coordinates waste handling including emergency response procedures
• Implements recycling initiatives
• Maintains current inventory of safety data sheets for all materials on-site
• Leads and plans monthly "Safety Kaizens" to address areas of opportunities and safety concerns.

Other Responsibilities

• Interface with Managers for implementing Safety Policies.
• Be a partner with the business, through participation in the business planning, performance and operational reviews and other activities
• Advise Department Managers on safety best practices
• Identify needs, evaluate EHS practices
• All other duties as assigned
