Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of professional EH&S experience.
• Experience leading projects or small teams in an EH&S function.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations (MN).
• Proven ability to drive change and improve EH&S performance.
• Strong communication and influencing skills within a matrixed organization.
• Analytical and critical-thinking skills with a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage site EH&S programs and initiatives.
• Foster a strong safety culture through training and coaching.
• Provide EH&S performance metrics and risk reporting to site leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on EH&S initiatives.
• Coordinate with regional Health team on injuries and claims resolution.
• Manage departmental resources and support budget planning.
• Support site emergency response and business continuity activities.
• Manage ISO 14001/45001 certification requirements and audits.
• Ensure conformance with global Boston Scientific EH&S standards.
• Oversee internal compliance audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local EH&S regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update programs and procedures.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop EH&S professionals and individual contributors.
• Independently manage day-to-day EH&S activities and escalate risks.
