Job summary

Boston Scientific owns a critical EH&S leadership role at our Arbor Lakes site in Maple Grove, MN. The on-site position combines program oversight with hands-on responsibilities to ensure compliance, safety culture, and ongoing improvement.

You will drive site EH&S programs, metrics, training, audits, and regulatory reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires four days on-site weekly and relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of professional EH&S experience in lab/R&D/manufacturing/operations.
• Experience leading projects, programs, or small teams within EH&S.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations (Minnesota included).
• Demonstrated ability to drive change to improve EH&S performance.
• Strong communication and influencing skills in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
• ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage site EH&S programs, policies, and initiatives aligned with business objectives and corporate standards.
• Foster a strong safety culture through effective communication, coaching, and training.
• Prepare and communicate EH&S performance metrics, risks, and opportunities to site leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and execution of EH&S initiatives.
• Work with regional Occupational Health team to manage injuries and claims to resolution.
• Manage resources and support budget-planning activities for EH&S.
• Support site emergency response and business continuity activities.
• Lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification activities including audits and corrective actions.
• Ensure conformance with global EH&S standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee internal compliance audits and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update programs and procedures accordingly.
