The Granite YMCA in Dover, NH is seeking an experienced Site Director to lead a licensed school-age childcare program. You’ll supervise staff, coach leaders, and partner with families to provide a safe, engaging environment where children thrive.

Qualifications

• Meet New Hampshire Child Care Licensing requirements for a School Age Site Director.
• Experience in childcare, youth development, recreation, or education preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, school partners, and staff.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for a licensed school-age childcare program.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.
• Develop and implement enriching activities that support youth development and learning.
• Supervise, coach, and support Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders.
• Build strong partnerships with school personnel, families, and community stakeholders.
• Manage daily program operations, including attendance, behavior guidance, scheduling, and site organization.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA standards, New Hampshire licensing regulations, and school policies.
• Maintain accurate records and communication with families.
• Collaborate with Program Leadership to evaluate program quality and implement improvements.
• Support extended-day programming, vacation camps, and family events.
