Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of site development or heavy civil construction experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CM software a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site development and construction activities.
  • Coordinate work schedules for field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
  • Monitor progress and ensure work meets plans, specs, and timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections for quality workmanship and safety compliance.
  • Enforce OSHA policies and lead regular safety meetings.
  • Review drawings and work orders with field personnel.
  • Identify and resolve field issues and delays.
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and material usage to maintain budgets.
  • Coordinate inspections with authorities and regulators.
  • Maintain daily reports and project documentation.
  • Communicate status, issues, and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of equipment.
  • Assist in planning schedules and resource allocation.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate field personnel.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of site development or heavy civil construction experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of grading, excavation, utilities, drainage, paving, and site preparation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
