Job summary

Triple Crown Corporation, based in Harrisburg, PA, seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support site development and excavation. The role requires operating excavators, loaders, dozers and related gear safely on commercial and residential projects.

You will work under Foreman and Superintendent, perform trenching and utility installation tasks, read blueprints, and ensure adherence to safety standards. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; OSHA certification is

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment for site work.
• Experience with excavating, trenching, backfilling and grading to specification.
• Experience with trench boxes, trench benching and proper sloping safety requirements.
• Proven knowledge of proper shoring techniques.
• Experience installing/testing water and sewer lines and dry utilities.
• Ability to read and apply construction blueprints/specifications.
• Ability to use GPS within equipment.
• Proven ability to lead by example and work with crews.
• Safety oriented; OSHA certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support site development and excavation.
• Report to Foreman/Superintendent; follow task priorities and instructions.
• Assist with daily excavation tasks including trenching, backfilling, grading.
• Operate tampers, jackhammers, demolition saws, pumps, and pressure washers as required.
• Move equipment and materials between sites; maintain organization of trailers and yards.
• Assist with safety measures and reporting of maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with team to ensure tasks meet timelines and specs.
• Assist in snow removal on sites and properties as directed.
