Job summary

GPD Group seeks a Site Development & Entitlements Project Coordinator in Akron, OH. This role focuses on coordinating site planning, permitting, and due diligence for civil projects, while maintaining strong client communication and collaboration with architects, engineers, and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background, 0–5 years of related experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; BIM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 0–5 years of civil/site development & entitlements experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D; BIM experience preferred.
• Experience in site planning, permitting, due diligence, and project management.
• Strong client-facing communication and ability to multi-task across projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and track project schedules and site development activities.
• Coordinate site planning with internal teams and clients.
• Prepare permitting submittals and variance applications.
• Coordinate surveys, environmental and geotechnical studies as needed.
• Maintain client communications and provide regular project status updates.
• Support project administration and construction administration tasks.

GPD is currently seeking aSite Development & Entitlements Project Coordinatorin ourAkron, OHoffice location.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, preferred, or other Engineering or Construction Management degree with 0 to 5years of experience in the field of civil engineering, stie development & entitlements, and/or project management.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D, and preferred BIM.
• Experience with project site planning, due diligence, all aspects of civil design and documentation, permitting, and construction administration required.
• Experienced and comfortable working directly with the client providing timely updates on project status, discussing project scope, etc. Demonstrates a customer service focus.
• Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
• Must possess experience in coordinating with internal teams, including project planning, scheduling and tracking.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
• Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities will include:

• Project scheduling and tracking.
• Site planning.
• Meeting and communicating with clients daily/weekly as determined required.
• Due diligence including feasibility studies, planning and zoning presentations and submittals including variance applications.
• Permitting research, submittals, and follow-up.
• Coordinating other field services such as land and building surveys, environmental studies, and geotechnical studies.
• Coordinating with teams of architects, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers.
• Project status reports and conference calls.
• Project Administration.
• Construction administration.
