Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers, through the legacy Eberly & Associates, seeks an Engineer in Training II to join our Site Development team in the Atlanta region. You will contribute to commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments from concept through construction while pursuing your P.E.

licensure and receiving mentorship from senior engineers. The role emphasizes collaboration with project managers, municipalities, and clients, delivering innovative site plans using AutoCAD Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
• 2+ years of civil engineering experience focused on site development projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of land development design principles, permitting processes, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, engineering calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for land development projects.
• Evaluate design alternatives including grading, drainage, alignments, utility layouts, and site constraints.
• Identify practical engineering solutions meeting client goals while satisfying regulatory requirements.
• Design site development plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation to meet standards.
• Provide guidance and quality review for engineering technicians and junior staff.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
