Job summary

Olsson, a multidisciplinary design firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Site Design team. You will provide basic project design through CAD drafting, guide drafters, and help prepare schedules for small to mid-sized projects, with occasional site visits.

The role offers flexible work arrangements including remote or hybrid options and opportunities to mentor interns while collaborating with seasoned engineers on diverse land development assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EI/EIT certificate required.
• 2+ years of related civil engineering design experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic design elements for engineering projects and CAD drafting.
• Instructs drafters on drawings and design tasks.
• Develops design knowledge and uses modeling software.
• Assists with project documentation, schedules, and calculations.
• Coordinates with experienced engineers on non-routine techniques.
• Gathers research, drafts technical reports, and supports site observation.
• Mentors student interns and develops practical skills.
• Manages project/client information in the firm PM system.
