Rune is seeking a Site Deployment Manager in Mountain View, CA to lead field execution of RELIC deployments and coordinate with site owners, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. You will own onsite deployment from mobilization through commissioning, ensure safety and quality, manage schedules, and drive issues to resolution while keeping leadership informed.
This role requires strong organization, field leadership, and the ability to solve complex problems in fast-moving
Location: Mountain View, CA
Every solar and wind power plant is a latent data center. Rune connects wasted power to the compute that needs it. Solar plants generate electricity the grid can't take: clipped by inverters, curtailed by operators, gone before it ever reaches a meter. Meanwhile, AI needs more power than new construction can deliver in time.
Rune deploys hardware, software, and financial solutions to put this power to work. We build modular micro data centers that install directly at solar sites, bypassing the traditional grid entirely and turning stranded power into compute. We're backed by Spark Capital, Union Square Ventures, and Lowercarbon Capital.
As the Site Deployment Manager at Rune, you will lead the field execution of our RELIC deployments and serve as the critical link to our field operations teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that each deployment is completed safely, on schedule, and to Rune's quality standards.
You will lead the field operations team and coordinate activities among site owners, contractors, vendors, delivery partners, and internal stakeholders. Following deployment, you will help ensure site uptime by coordinating planned maintenance and emergency responses to equipment failures or outages.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable leading teams in the field, and able to solve complex operational problems in fast-moving deployment environments.

Mobilize the appropriate personnel, contractors, vendors, tools, and replacement components during an incident
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and site owners throughout emergency response activities
Participate in incident reviews and incorporate corrective actions into operating procedures and future deployments
