Job summary

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is seeking a site and volunteer coordinator to ensure meal delivery and program operations run smoothly. You will maintain facilities, manage delivery equipment, and keep good relationships with site owners.

You will supervise volunteers, train new helpers, schedule coverage, recruit additional volunteers, and conduct outreach to clients while promoting community involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year's paid or volunteer experience supervising others.
• Experience working with volunteers desirable.
• Food service experience desirable.
• Current driver's license and an insured vehicle.
• Able to pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility and delivery equipment are maintained and clean.
• Maintain relations with site owners and landlords.
• Oversee delivery of meals to clients and report discrepancies to the Director of Food Services.
• Supervise volunteers, provide training, and manage schedules.
• Recruit volunteers and inform community about volunteering and giving.
• Identify and report client concerns using Mobile Meals.
• Conduct outreach to recruit clients and inform the community about opportunities to volunteer and give.
