Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers in Rosemead, CA is seeking a Part-Time Site Coordinator to oversee after-school programming at a local site. The role is on-site, 30 hours per week, with shifts varying by location, reporting to the Program Manager.

You will ensure a safe and engaging environment, coordinate daily activities, supervise staff, and communicate with families and school partners. Ideal candidates bring prior supervision of youth, strong organizational skills, and the ability to train and coach

Qualifications

  • FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
  • TB Test clearance.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (provided by WR).
  • 1+ years’ experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
  • 1+ years’ experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for work.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure students are in a safe environment and inclusive environment.
  • Lead and coach on-site team to deliver high-quality programs.
  • Implement site protocols, safety regulations, and WR policies.
  • Coordinate field trips and communicate details to parents/guardians.
  • Maintain attendance records and ensure activities match participant needs.
  • Oversee staff schedules, timesheets, and coverage as needed.
  • Participate in staff trainings and other related duties.

What We Do:

Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offerLifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,500 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 160 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

Job Summary:

ASiteCoordinatoris responsible forthe overalllogisticsof theafter schoolprogram at a site.SiteCoordinators serve as the liaison of the program’s needs and information to parents, community members, school administration, and staff.SiteCoordinators inspire and coordinate dailyprogramschedules while ensuring a safe, fun, and positive environment forprogramparticipantsand staff. They oversee the daily program’s operations and ensure that all staff are equipped and ready to run a successful after schoolprogram. They supervise assistantsitcoordinators, community liaisons, and club leaders who will supervise 10-20participantsdaily.The managethe staff’s schedules and daily enrichment offerings.
The Site Coordinator position is an on-site position, including attending training at the Woodcraft Rangers main office in Little Tokyo and school sites.

Role Overview:
  • Ensure students are in a safe environment (physicallyand emotionally). Promotes aninclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity, for all program participants, staff, and families.
  • Leads and coaches the on-site team to perform their duties and deliver high-quality programs and providespositive customer service. Promotes professional growth and development for all team members.
  • Effectively implements site protocols, safety regulations, WRproceduresand policies and provides any necessary training or coaching to on-site teams.
  • Communicates with facilities management to ensure access to required facilities during program hours.
  • Collects and reviews activity plans and program material list from ClubLeaders to develop spending plan within a given budget. Proactively coordinates with the purchasing team to ensure all staff have access to required materials in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates end of week themes activities, after schoolmingle, and end of school culmination.
  • Coordinates field trips with field trip coordinator, communicates with parents/guardians and trip details and requirements. Attend a field trip and serve as the lead WR Team Member for the day.
  • Maintain and submit student attendance daily.
  • Ensure activities meet the needs and abilities of participants’ age and skill level.
  • Oversees staff schedules, ADP including approving timesheets and sick time, and coordinates sub/floater fill in as needed.
  • Participates in staff development trainings as required/ass scheduled.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Multi-tasking and attention to detail must be strengths this individualpossesses. Individuals need to be comfortableto presentandspeakin front of staff and peers during in-person training.

Requirements:
