Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a Site Coordinator for its after-school program. The on-site role supports daily schedules, ensures safety, and acts as a liaison with parents, school staff, and community partners to deliver high-quality enrichment.

You will supervise a small team, coordinate field trips and activities, manage attendance, and help implement program policies while working at multiple locations. This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring flexibility and a passion for youth

Qualifications

• FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
• TB Test clearance.
• First Aid & CPR Certification (provided by WR).
• 1+ years’ experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• 1+ years’ experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• AA Degree in Child Development or related field preferred; 12 units of Child Development or similar.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are in a safe environment and promote inclusive, welcoming, and respectful programs for all participants, staff, and families.
• Lead and coach the on-site team to deliver high-quality programs and provide positive customer service.
• Implement site protocols, safety regulations, WR procedures, and policies; train or coach on-site staff as needed.
• Coordinate with facilities to ensure access to required spaces during program hours.
• Develop spending plans with Club Leaders and coordinate with purchasing to provide materials on time.
• Coordinate end-of-week themes, programming, and end-of-summer activities.
• Coordinate field trips with Field Trip Coordinator and attend trips as lead WR Team Member.
• Maintain and submit student attendance daily.
• Oversee staff schedules, timesheets, and coverage as needed.
• Participate in staff trainings and other duties as assigned.

What We Do:

Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offerLifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,500 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 160 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

Job Summary:

ASiteCoordinatoris responsible forthe overalllogisticsof theafter schoolprogram at a site.SiteCoordinators serve as the liaison of the program’s needs and information to parents, community members, school administration, and staff.SiteCoordinators inspire andcoordinate dailyprogramschedules while ensuring a safe, fun, and positive environment forparticipantsand staff. They oversee the daily program’s operations and ensure that all staff are equipped and ready to run a successfulafter schoolprogram. They supervise assistantsitecoordinators, community liaisons, and club leaders who will supervise 10-20program participantsdaily.Theyalsomanagestaffschedules and daily enrichment offerings.

TheSiteCoordinator position is an on-site position, including attending training at the Woodcraft Rangersmain officein Little Tokyo and school sites.

Role Overview:

• Ensure students are in a safe environment (physicallyand emotionally). Promotesaninclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity, for all program participants, staff, and families.
• Leads and coaches the on-site team to perform their duties and deliver high-quality programs andprovidespositivecustomer service. Promotes professional growth and development for all team members.
• Effectively implements site protocols, safety regulations, WRproceduresand policies and provides any necessary training or coaching to on-site teams.
• Communicates with facilities management to ensure access to required facilities duringprogramhours.
• Collects and reviews activity plans and program material list fromClubLeaders to developspendingplanwithin a given budget. Proactively coordinates with the purchasing team to ensure all staff have access to required materialsin a timely manner.
• Coordinates end of weekthemesactivities,programmingle, and end of summer culmination.
• Coordinates field trips with field trip coordinator, communicates with parents/guardians and trip details and requirements. Attend a field trip and serve as the lead WR Team Member for the day.
• Maintain andsubmitstudent attendance daily.
• Ensure activities meet the needs and abilities ofparticipants’ age and skill level.
• Oversees staff schedules, ADP including approving timesheets and sick time, andcoordinates sub/floater fill in as needed.
• Participates in staff developmenttrainingsasrequired/asscheduled.
• Other related duties as assigned.
