Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik (DWT) is seeking a Site Coordinator to support the Site Manager and wind-farm teams. You will oversee inventory, calendar activities, travel support, and high-priority workflows, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.

The role requires on-site work at wind farms, safety-first mindset, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be prepared for physical tasks and standard field conditions.

Qualifications

  • On-site wind farm experience is required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents and follow safety rules.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds and climb towers with gear.
  • Pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistics support for tooling and spare parts at the wind farm.
  • Assist technicians with service orders, timesheets, and expenses.
  • Check daily orders, reports, and timesheets for accuracy.
  • Organize and track inventory for the wind farm.
  • Support site manager and travel planning as needed.

As a Site Coordinator, you will provide support to the Site Manager and team members of regional offices. At the same time, managing and proactively building relationships across the wind industry. As a Site Coordinator, you will oversee a broad range of activities including checking in and out parts and tooling, ensuring accurate inventories, calendaring, supporting travel, managing high-priority workflows and approvals, processing expense reporting, organizing meeting notes and other due diligence information and assigned duties.

  • Assist technicians with all service orders, timesheets, and expenses?

  • Compile weekly functional area reporting data, and manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetings?

  • Utilize and leverage technology to perform responsibilities, including a commitment to maintaining electronic records and other digital mediums?

Are You Ready to:
  • Check daily service orders, reports, and timesheets for accuracy.

  • Comply with internal policies and procedures and customer site rules.

  • Organize and track all inventory for the wind farm.

  • Interact positively and professionally with external and internal teams.

  • Anticipate the needs of the Site Manager and provide support as appropriate.

What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate's Degree is a bonus, but not required.

  • 1+ years’ experience on-site at a wind farm

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations.

  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.

  • The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines.

  • Employee must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions.

  • Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.

  • We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
