Location: Friendship Elementary Club

JOB SUMMARY:

The Site Coordinator is responsible for directing and managing overall daily operations of the designated Clubhouse with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • EstablishClubprograms,activities,andservicesthatprepareyouthforsuccessandcreate a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Implementdailyprogramschedule,ensuringall areasarecovered byclub staff.
  • Ensureahealthyandsafeenvironment,ensuringfacilities,equipmentandsuppliesare maintained.
  • Plan,develop,implement,andevaluateCluboverallprograms,servicesandactivitiesto ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests.
  • Compileregularreportsreflectingallactivities,attendance,andparticipation.
  • ManageClubfinancialresourcesbyassistinginthedevelopmentoftheannual budgets, control expenditure against budget.
  • CreateasafeandfunworkenvironmentforClubemployeeswheretheyreceivecoaching andfeedback,haveclarityofexpectations,andarerecognizedfortheiraccomplishments.
  • Conductregularstaffmeetingtoshareinformationand promoteateam environment.
  • Developpartnershipswithparents, communityleadersand organizations.
  • Developandmaintainpublicrelationstoincreasethevisibilityofprograms,services andactivitieswithintheClubandthecommunity.
  • Work withthestaffonspecialeventstocarryoutprogramsinalldepartments.
  • Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan as needed.
  • Have regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advice, and counsel.
  • Maintain contact with outside community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the Club.
  • Be familiar with, and ensure staff and volunteers are familiar with, the Club’s guidelines in regards to the following:
    • Monthly fire drills, including the posting of fire drills’ schedule
    • CPR/First Aid, and required supplies
    • Emergency phone numbers, such as Child Abuse Hotline, Poison Control etc.
    • Posting of daily schedule
    • Posting of all emergency protocol and State employment guidelines
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Activelyparticipatein BGCAtrainings,internaltrainings,andall staffmeetings.
  • Ensurethatgrant deliverablesare being met and providedatafor reporting.
  • Supportotherprojectsasneeded.
  • Completesanyadditionalassignmentsas requestedbythemanagementstaff.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
Experience:
  • Aminimumofthree years’ experience in Boys & Girls Club of Lanier or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people or;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role wit demonstrated success in leading a team.

  • Internal: Maintain oral and written contact with the Chief Development Officer and Club Senior leadership, staff peers, and volunteers for the purpose of exchange of information, to provide progress reports regarding activities and planned programs, and to coordinate events.
  • External:Maintain oral and written contact with other agencies, business leaders, community groups, committees, and the media for the purpose of exchanging information and ideas and for the purpose of fundraising.
