McAdams Company is seeking a Construction Administrator to serve as a liaison during construction for public/state projects. The role requires 5–10 years in land development and utility construction, with strong coordination between field teams and design staff, and experience in managing bids and pay applications.

Based in Texas, this position emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to standards while supporting clients through site inspections, cost estimation, and constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of land development and utility construction experience.
• Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, PIM, MS Project).
• Knowledge of local/state bid processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read site civil plans and understand work sequence (Grading + Site Utilities + Stormwater Control Measures).
• Communicate with field crews and design staff on progress and issues.
• Observe required utility testing for municipal and regulatory authority compliance.
• Prepare bid packages and administer local/state bid processes.
• Provide customer service by conducting pre-construction/progress meetings and processing pay applications from contractors.
• Evaluate contractor change orders and negotiate them to the best price for clients.
• Perform site inspections, document progress, and plan compliance for the client.
• Review project specs and construction plans to manage site construction for clients.
• Review shop drawings and perform water, sewer, stormwater inspections and testing.
