Job summary

CSL is seeking a Site Communications Lead in Holly Springs to drive employee engagement, strengthen culture and enhance the site’s reputation. You will translate global CSL and Seqirus strategy into timely, relevant site-level communications for Holly Springs’ employees and leaders.

The role partners with HR and site leadership on engagement initiatives, leadership messaging and change communications within a regulated manufacturing environment. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in internal and external communications.
• Experience advising senior leaders and managing communications in matrixed organisations.
• Experience in change and transformation communications, issues management and crisis preparedness.
• Pharma, biotech or similarly regulated industry experience strongly preferred.

Job description

The Opportunity:

As the Site Communications Lead – Holly Springs, you will be a member of the Seqirus Global Communications team, and will be primarily responsible for driving employee engagement, supporting site leadership, strengthening culture, and enhancing Seqirus’ local reputation through the delivery of strategic communications. You will translate global CSL and Seqirus strategy, values and brand positioning into clear, timely and relevant site-level communications that connect employees to business priorities and performance objectives. You will act as a trusted communications advisor to the Site Head VP Manufacturing and Site Leadership Team, and you will support leadership messaging, employee engagement, and change communications within a complex, regulated manufacturing environment. You will also support critical external partnerships and helps strengthen Seqirus’ presence and reputation within the local community. In addition to site responsibilities, you will partner on selected Global Seqirus projects and transformation initiatives and supports Internal Engagement across Seqirus US sites.

This is a hybrid role, requiring three (3) days of onsite work weekly. #LI-hybrid

The Role:

Strategic Communications Business Partnering

• Serve as the primary site communications partner to the Site Head VP of Manufacturing and Holly Springs Site Leadership Team, providing strategic counsel on leadership messaging, engagement, budget, change and site priorities.
• Develop and execute an integrated local site communications strategy aligned with Seqirus and enterprise-wide objectives.
• Ensure global and regional communication campaigns and initiatives are effectively localized to be timely, relevant and meaningful for Holly Springs employees.
• Serve as a communications business partner for Seqirus global projects and business transformation activities.

Employee Engagement & Culture

• Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Business Leaders to drive internal engagement initiatives that strengthen employee connection to the company’s mission and performance objectives.
• Lead the planning and delivery of key site engagement moments, including town halls, leadership forums and visits, fireside chats and feedback mechanisms.
• Partner with HR to drive communications capability-building initiatives for leaders to enhance their effectiveness as internal influencers and motivators.

Reputation, Community & External Engagement

• Strengthen Seqirus’ reputation in the Holly Springs community through local media relations, community partnerships, sponsorships and engagement activities, aligned with global frameworks.
• Serve as the primary media contact for the Holly Springs site, ensuring leaders are well prepared and aligned with corporate positioning.
• Partner with CEA colleagues to support communication and PAGA initiatives across seasonal and pandemic businesses.
• Lead planning and execution of VIP visits to the site (internal and external).
• Partner with CEA colleagues, to support site leadership participation in local government, industry and community initiatives.
• Proactively identify and manage potential reputation and engagement risks impacting the site.
• Act as the site communications lead for issues and crisis response, in close coordination with global crisis and reputation teams to ensure effective preparedness and response.

Your Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Business.
• 7+ years’ experience in internal and external communications, preferably within manufacturing, R&D or highly regulated environments.
• Proven experience advising senior leaders and managing communications at site or function level in matrixed organisations.
• Experience in change and transformation communications, issues management and crisis preparedness.
• Pharma, biotech or similarly regulated industry experience strongly preferred.

Travel Requirements:

• Domestic and International travel may be required from time to time.
