Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Project Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility, in our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC, or Danville, VA office.

Typical projects involve site/civil design for commercial and industrial site development, higher education, parks & recreation, capital improvement projects, water and wastewater, and roadways. Responsibilities

• Site/civil development including grading design, utility design, roadway design, stormwater management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Preparation of all associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.

Required Skills & Experience

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience related to land development and capital improvement projects.
• EIT required, PE preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Water CAD, Storm CAD, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
