Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Site Civil Engineer Intern to join our Civil Engineering team in Fairview Heights, IL, with opportunities across multiple locations. This full-time internship runs 40 hours per week, typically 9am-5pm, offering hands-on experience and mentorship.

You'll design site layouts, use AutoCAD Civil 3D, and gain exposure to hydrology, stormwater, and fieldwork as part of real projects under guidance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years related experience.
• Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology preferred.
• Willing to perform field work and travel.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Apply hydrology and stormwater management concepts to projects.
• Multi-task and prioritize workflow to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with project management to identify impediments and develop solutions.
• Perform pavement assessments and data collection for reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
