Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil Engineer in Minnesota (Saint Louis Park) for full-time work in an employee-owned environment. You will design site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, and related civil engineering tasks, supporting project teams and client needs.

Requires PE license and 4–6 years of civil-site design experience; proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCad, and MS Office; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license recognized by the licensing board for the position.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan production for a variety of civil engineering projects (site plan layouts, grading and drainage, site paving, utilities).
• Prepare stormwater management designs, calculations, and reports to meet local standards.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architectural leads.
• Assist with the preparation of specifications and contract documents.
• Assist project teams with approvals and permits procurement.
• Prepare quantity take-off calculations and cost estimates if required.
• Perform complex assignments evaluating and modifying standard techniques and procedures.
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
