Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to lead site studies, develop layouts, and deliver civil/site design for diverse projects. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers, ensuring designs meet regulatory requirements and budgets.

Preferred candidates bring a PE license and significant experience with Civil 3D, stormwater management, and mentorship of junior staff. This on-site role supports HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group and its mission to design impactful

Qualifications

PE license required across the location of the position.
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

Lead site studies, site development design, and contract documents for civil/site projects.
Develop site layout, grading, utility design, drainage, stormwater management and erosion control.
Apply engineering principles and regulatory requirements to create practical, constructible designs.
Independently manage civil design tasks and deliverables for projects of varying size and complexity.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and permitting agencies.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
