Job summary

Qualus Corporation in Reno, NV is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to perform design tasks and prepare grading/improvement plans, drainage reports, and site development exhibits. You will ensure quality and cost compliance per client requirements and internal QA/QC practices.

The role may include permit applications, technical research, and summarizing findings. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines and external partners.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree.
• EIT certification.
• 2–10 years of civil engineering design experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD.
• Experience in hydrology, land development, and transmission-line engineering is a plus.
• Strong analytical and computer skills; identify necessary software for design work.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic design tasks.
• Assist with permit applications, drawings, calculations, and CAD work.
• Develop conceptual design plans in early development phase.
• Prepare grading and improvement plans, final maps, exhibits, and plot plans.
• Coordinate with renewable energy developers and site development clients on schedules and cost estimates.
• Perform QA/QC processes.
• Engage with clients and partners; present information and respond to questions.
• Lead or participate in client meetings and job site visits.
• Mentor less experienced staff on technical and project management skills.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
