Job summary

HDR is hiring a Site Civil EIT/Designer in Orlando, FL. The role supports site studies, design, and project documentation within our civil/site teams. You will work under Senior Engineers on varied projects and help ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Preferred candidates will have EIT pursuit and experience with civil software like Bentley, Infraworks, and Civil 3D, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive work environment and career progression within HDR.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineer with site studies, designs, and documentation.
• Perform site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage tasks.
• Handle routine engineering assignments using standard techniques.
• Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Support project management and administrative duties for civil/site projects.
• Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger ones.
• Assist with project permitting submittal requirements.

Our Building Engineering Services Group is hiring a Site Civil EIT/Designer to work in our Orlando, FL office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentations
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring the application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
• Assist the project team with project permitting submittal requirements with applicable jurisdictions

Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley Concept Station and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D, specialty civil platforms
