Job summary

HDR is seeking a civil engineer to help craft the site development for diverse projects in Denver and Englewood. The role involves developing scopes of work, coordinating with internal and external teams, and producing compliant concept layouts and plans.

You will mentor junior staff and drive efficient project delivery. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, has EIT preferred status, and brings experience from architectural/engineering firms in land development, with a strong focus on

Bachelor's degree required.
EIT strongly preferred; without it the candidate may start as Coordinator.
Experience with land development and civil design is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Develop civil engineering scope of work and budgets for proposals.
Coordinate with internal and external resources to complete due diligence and documentation.
Create concept site layouts compliant with jurisdictional requirements and support pre-application process.
Determine design and submittal requirements with the authority having jurisdiction and coordinate design solutions.
Assist with community outreach as defined in the project scope.
Attend and contribute to client meetings.
Translate concept plans through schematic and construction design phases.
Coordinate with subconsultants for support and design services.
Produce plan sets, details, specifications, and cost estimates.
Perform site development calculations (stormwater, culvert, pipe capacity, hydrology).
Draft technically sound, well-organized reports.
