Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT)/Coordinator to join our Building Engineering Services Group in Denver, Colorado. You will contribute to civil scope of work, budgets, and design for site development and pre‑application processes, collaborating with internal and external teams.

You will perform calculations, develop plan sets, coordinate with subconsultants, and mentor junior staff while advancing your EIT certification and career progression with HDR's employee‑owned

Responsibilities

• Develop civil scope of work and budgets for proposals.
• Coordinate with internal/external resources to complete due diligence.
• Create concept site layouts compliant with jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction on design submissions.
• Assist with community outreach and attend client meetings.
• Transition concept plans through schematic and construction phases.
• Coordinate with subconsultants for design services.
• Produce plan sets, details, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform site development calculations (stormwater, culverts, hydrology).
• Author technically sound, well-organized reports.
• Mentor junior staff and pursue efficiencies.
