Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer to support site civil design and project tasks in Greenville, SC. You will assist senior engineers on site studies, layouts, drainage, and contract documentation while contributing to a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities include performing routine engineering tasks, preparing drawings, and coordinating project management duties for civil/site projects. Local candidates preferred; EIT path encouraged through the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Bentley ConceptStation, Infraworks and Civil 3D; OpenFlows as applicable.
• Local candidates preferred.

• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator/Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required.
• Local candidates preferred
