Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil EIT/Coordinator in Lafayette, LA to support our Building Engineering Services Group. You will contribute to site development designs across commercial, healthcare, education, municipal, and mission-critical facilities, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in an employee-owned culture.

You should have Engineer Intern (EI) certification or be on track to obtain within 12 months, familiarity with Civil 3D and HydroCAD/Hydraflow, and a drive to grow professionally

Qualifications

• An EI certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months is required.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Experience with site civil design and related software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist on design and plan production for site development projects.
• Develop concept site layouts compliant with jurisdictional requirements.
• Prepare site civil calculations: stormwater pond sizing, culverts, hydrology.
• Coordinate with authorities to determine design/submittal requirements.
• Prepare specifications, contract documents, and permit submittals.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings.
• Coordinate with subconsultants for design services.
• Pursue continuous learning and growth in site civil design.
• Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Be independent in pursuing information and solutions.
• Communicate effectively with managers and team members.
• Mentor junior staff and delegate tasks.
• Manage time and multiple projects.
• Perform other duties as required.
