Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our Corpus Christi Manufacturing Technology team in Ingleside, Texas. This role provides process engineering guidance for operations, maintenance and technology teams, focusing on safety, uptime, reliability and cost improvements in a highly hazardous environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, process monitoring with Aspen Process Explorer, leading safety analyses, supporting capital projects, and ensuring compliance with PSM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic chemical engineering principles.
• Diagnose and solve technical problems using data-based decisions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and troubleshooting assistance to unit processes to improve safety, operability, quality, and cost.
• Monitor process continuously to identify shifts and opportunities using Uptime Software and Aspen Process Explorer.
• Lead safety, reliability and quality investigations for continuous improvement.
• Support cost and capital projects including FEL activities and installation/commissioning.
• Lead Process Hazards Analyses and perform tests to enhance safety and cost metrics.
• Maintain technical expertise and promote cross-training and collaboration.
• Provide shift/weekend coverage for startups, tests, and turnarounds; travel <10%.
