Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Scientist to plan and conduct high- and low-throughput in vitro ADME assays, screen compounds, and maintain mammalian cell cultures. You will assist with validation and investigative assays and help manage lab equipment and consumables.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/MS in a biological or chemical science with 5+ years in pharma or CRO settings, and strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities under deadlines.

Qualifications

• BA/MS (or equivalent) in a relevant Biological or Chemical scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of industry experience (pharma or CRO).
• Effective communication and organizational skills; ability to troubleshoot and multitask under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct high- and low-throughput in vitro ADME assays and process data to high-quality standards within specified time frames.
• Screen compounds in various in vitro ADME assays and maintain mammalian cells.
• Assist with validation and investigative assays.
• Monitor and maintain stock consumables.
• Assist with validation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Support Senior Scientist, Laboratory Supervisors, and Senior Research Scientist with troubleshooting.
• Identify within the group where support is required and manage time to provide support.
• Follow safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Report concerns and discuss/advise scientific strategy with the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Senior Research Scientist.
