Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in San Francisco, CA is seeking a site-based Project Engineer to join our Buildings & Infrastructure team, delivering multi-phased capital projects at an active client site.

You will collaborate with project managers, construction managers, contractors, design professionals, and stakeholders to bridge field execution with project controls, documentation, quality, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting construction or engineering projects.
• Ability to read and review drawings, interpret specifications, and coordinate execution.
• Proficiency with project management and construction tools (Procore, Bluebeam, P6, Unifier, MS Project, Excel, Kahua).
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Maintain project records, logs, meeting minutes, and action items.
• Support constructability reviews and resolution of field issues.
• Track project progress, schedule milestones, and field activities.
• Assist with cost control, change management, and pay application reviews.
• Support document control using Procore, Bluebeam, Unifier, P6, and related tools.
• Help coordinate inspections, punch lists, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities
