Job summary

Chandler Unified School District in Gilbert, AZ, is seeking a Site Based Instructional Coach at Rice Elementary to elevate teaching quality and student achievement. You will partner with site administrators and teachers to plan, model, co-teach, observe, and provide actionable feedback on evidence-based practices.

Requirements include Arizona certification, a Master’s degree in education or related field, and a valid IVP clearance.

Qualifications

• Hold appropriate Arizona certification in the designated content area(s).
• Master’s degree in education or related field.
• Knowledge of state standards and research-based instruction.
• Demonstrated classroom teaching ability.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Must possess a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to employment.
• Early Childhood Endorsement (preferred).
• Three to five years of classroom teaching experience (preferred).
• Experience facilitating adult learning (preferred).
• Experience leading Professional Learning Communities (preferred).
• Experience analyzing student achievement data to improve instruction (preferred).
• Experience mentoring, supporting, or coaching educators (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Utilize expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment to advance school and district goals.
• Serve as an active member of the School Instructional Leadership Team.
• Collaborate with district departments to implement instructional practices.
• Research, interpret, and communicate current instructional practices and innovations.
• Foster collaborative relationships to support instructional improvement and student success.
• Maintain a non-evaluative coaching relationship focused on growth.
• Provide instructional coaching to teachers in curriculum implementation and lesson design.
• Support teachers in planning and building unit plans and learning progressions.
• Lead PLC meetings focused on standards and data analysis.
• Guide teams in analyzing student achievement to identify gaps and supports.
• Collaborate with admins to refine instructional practices for outcomes.
• Design, facilitate, and evaluate professional learning aligned with site goals.
• Build capacity in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Assist in developing instructional resources for site and district use.
• Support administrators with site programs and family engagement events.
• Participate in staff meetings and school improvement initiatives.
