Job summary

Concordia Wireless is seeking a Site Development Specialist I to support expansion on telecom projects. This fully remote role prefers candidates in the Chicagoland area and involves coordinating build sites, relocations, and lease processes.

You will work with internal teams and vendors, review zoning/permitting processes, prepare applications, and help optimize costs and terms for customers as projects advance toward real estate completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or related land-use field.
• 1+ year of professional office experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook; Word and Excel.
• GIS maps knowledge; ArcGIS coursework acceptable.
• Experience with zoning and permitting, telecom leases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage new build sites, cell site decommissions and relocations.
• Manage modification sites from site audit to real estate completion.
• Coordinate meetings with internal teams and outside vendors to evaluate progress.
• Prepare zoning and permitting applications and obtain approvals.
• Assist with lease terms and business term approvals.
• Support and track project tasks and milestones in management systems.

We are seeking a Site Development Specialist I (fully remote but prefer candidate to be in Chicagoland area) to support ongoing expansion.

Pay Range:$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 a year

Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.

Summary of Responsibilities:

You will learn how to:

• Manage new build sites, cell site decommissions and relocationfrom search ring to real estate completion
• Manage modification sites from site audit to real estate completion

• Attend weekly meetings with internal departments and outside vendors to evaluate progress and provide guidance on anticipated issues
• Perform preliminary candidate searches and prepare candidate information packages for leasing, permitting, viable land use and construct ability
• Review contracts to determine ways to optimize costs and define areas of opportunity for more favorable terms for the customer
• Verify zoning/permitting processes with jurisdictional personnel
• Interface with municipalities/jurisdictions on streamlining zoning and permitting processes
• Prepare zoning and permitting applications
• Obtain all municipal, state and/or county right-of-way land use approvals as required
• Prepare collocation applications required by the tower company and manage the collocation process to real estate completion
• Coordinate surveys, environmental reports, structural analysis, regulatory reports, lease exhibits & construction drawings as required
• Support, record and maintain project tasks and project milestones in management tracking systems
• Work with legal and customer on lease terms and business term approvals
• Coordinate, schedule and attend site walks and design visits
• Obtain landlord approval on construction drawings and zoning/permitting applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning (or similar with interest in land use or land planning).
• 1+ years of experience in a professional office setting.
• Skilled utilizing Microsoft Outlook (including WORD and EXCEL).
• Knowledgeable in GIS maps and codes. School work with ArcGIS is acceptable.
• Knowledge of real estate fundamentals. 1+ year of zoning and permitting experience is preferred.
• Previous experience working on leases for telecom new site builds preferred including co-applications and submissions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience working with jurisdictions or municipalities is desired.
