The Wisconsin Historical Society, a state government agency and private membership organization, seeks a Site Accountant for Old World Wisconsin. The role oversees accounting for a historic site, uses the STAR system, CounterPoint, Shopify, and ACME to process revenues, purchases, and budgeting. Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reports, and analyzing financial transactions.
• Experience reviewing expenses and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Using computerized accounting systems, financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
• Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies while maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Experience with governmental or nonprofit fund accounting is a plus.
