Job summary

PLA is seeking a Forklift Operator in Harrisonville, MO to support warehouse operations, primarily loading/unloading trailers, organizing inventory, and documenting movements. The role requires forklift experience, safety focus, and physical capability for lifting 70–100 lbs.

Work on a weekend schedule (5:00 am – 5:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday) with a starting pay rate of $17.00 per hour and guaranteed progression over five years. Eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 70–100 lbs throughout the day.
• Must pass PLA forklift certification (certification provided on-site if current is not transferable).

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down (electric) forklift to move pallets in and out of trailers and designated areas.
• Perform daily safety inspections of the forklift.
• Refuel or charge forklift tanks as needed.
• Verify and complete load documentation (paper or digital).
• Move pallets with accuracy and maintain clear records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Adapt to new schedules, team structures, or tasks based on operational needs.
