Now Hiring: Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Location

Romeoville, IL

Available Shifts

• Day Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 6:00am–2:30pm – $21/hr
• Night Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 6:00pm–2:30am – $22.50/hr

Position Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team in Romeoville as a Sit-Down Forklift Operator. We're looking for candidates with recent forklift experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to support warehouse operations, including some material picking tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift in a safe and efficient manner
• Load, unload, transport, and stage materials within the warehouse
• Frequently get on and off the forklift throughout the shift
• Use an RF scanner for pallet picking and order fulfillment
• Adhere to all safety regulations and operational procedures
• Support general warehouse activities as assigned

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience operating a sit-down forklift (Toyota experience a plus)
• Prior experience with RF scanners preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. (average lifts are about 30 lbs.)
• Consistent, reliable work history (employment gaps will be evaluated)
• Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team

Warehouse Setting

This is a third-party logistics (3PL) environment handling a variety of products for the manufacturing and packaging sector, such as:

• Coffee cups
• Clamshell containers
• Straws
• Plastic utensils
• Other food service packaging supplies

Dress Code & Safety Guidelines

• Steel-toe shoes are required
• Work shorts are permitted (no hoodies or inappropriate graphics on T-shirts)
• Safety glasses and vests provided on-site
