Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Sit Down Forklift Operator in Greer, SC. The role pays $19.00 per hour with opportunities on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Schedule: Monday-Friday plus Saturday as needed.

You will safely operate a sit-down forklift, move materials, load/unload trucks, and support inventory movement in a fast-paced warehouse. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED preferred and at least 6 months of sit-down forklift experience; forklift certification is a plus and RF scanners/WMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move products to designated storage and staging locations.
• Pull, verify, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and equipment checklists.
• Follow OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Assist with inventory movement as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Sit Down Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
