Job Description

The Simulator Technician II position supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract at Fort Cavazos, TX. This position primarily supports Aviation Trainers.

1. Performs routine tasks troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing military simulator components following detailed instructions.
2. Uses spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines.
3. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
4. Works under supervision of higher level technician.
5. Captures and records accurate and timely maintenance history ensuring that unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into the AWARE Management Information System (MIS).
6. Shares maintenance issues and general operations updates with senior technician.
7. Supports quality / ISO, security and safety training programs.
8. Safeguards all assigned equipment issued by PULAU Corporation against loss, theft, and damage.
9. Will be cross-trained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other ATMP contract equipment on the installation.

Job Requirements

1. Three years past experience with electronic equipment testing, troubleshooting and repairs.
2. Experience with UH-60A/L, AH-64 LCT, CH-47 TFPS and other related equipment is desired.
3. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active SECRET Clearance.
4. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
5. Must be able to read and understand manufacturers' manuals and technical documents.
6. Must be able to acquire a Government Common Access Card (CAC) for access to other installations.
7. Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and post driving privileges.
8. Must be able to work occasional shift, night, weekend, or holiday hours in support of military training.
9. High School Diploma or equivalent.
10. Must be a U.S. citizen.
