Simulator Design Engineer
Job Term: Contract To Hire/Full Time
Location: Fully remote
Must have 15+ years of experience and be open to travel onsite every few months. Travel is paid by the client.
Start Date: ASAP
Should have a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or I&C. It would be fantastic to have experience in all three, but we understand that may be difficult!
Simulator Software:
Experience with 3 KeyMaster, which is used by the client.
Other software includes 3LM, RELAP5, MELCOR, or equivalent.
Use this software to model within their environment and tune the constants to match what is happening within the power plant.
Take system models from System Engineers, model them inside 3 KeyMaster, and integrate with the plant. Use other software like RELAP and MELCOR for the core.
Job Description:
The client and its subsidiaries are developing the SMR-300, a small modular reactor providing safe, clean energy via nuclear fission. This role is with a global supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power sectors.
Join a multidisciplinary team working on the next-generation nuclear power plant. The Simulator Design Engineer will develop and maintain software used in the SMR-300 simulator.
This engineer will apply industry standards, regulatory guidance, and engineering expertise to support control strategy development and simulator-assisted design activities, working within a U.S. Government cost-shared development program.
