Job summary

Inova Center for Advanced Medical Simulation in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Simulation Technician for a full-time day shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) with occasional Saturdays to support simulation operations and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, stocking supplies, coordinating with vendors, and acting as the faculty liaison during sessions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: At least two years of experience in a relevant clinical environment.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering.
• Previous IT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure simulation equipment is in working order and routine maintenance is performed.
• Orders, stocks and organize laboratory supplies.
• Maintains vendor relationships in accordance with Inova Health System policies.
• Acts as the primary point of contact to faculty during simulation sessions.
• Programs, tests and runs scenarios with faculty.
• Obtains, prepares, cleans and replaces all equipment and supplies for each simulation event.
• Operates basic and networked AV equipment to record/playback scenarios for debriefing and research.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description Inova Center for Advanced Medical Simulation is looking for a dedicated Simulation Technician to join the Team. This full-time role will be day‑shift working Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm with occasional Saturdays located in Falls Church, VA. The Simulation Technician ensures the execution of appropriate equipment maintenance and inventory. Supports daily operations of the Simulation Laboratory. Troubleshoots malfunctions in low/high‑fidelity simulation and training equipment. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. Simulation Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure that simulation equipment is in working order and that routine maintenance is performed according to recommended schedules.
• Orders, stocks and organize laboratory supplies.
• Ensures that appropriate vendor relationships are maintained in accordance with Inova Health System policies.
• Acts as the primary point of contact to faculty during simulation sessions.
• Serves as a simulation operator by programming, testing and running scenarios with faculty.
• Obtains, prepares, cleans and replaces all equipment and supplies necessary for each simulation event.
• Operates basic and networked audio/visual equipment to record and playback scenarios for debriefing, documentation and research purposes.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: At least two years of experience in a relevant clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering preferred.
• Previous IT experience preferred.
