Job summary

Atoms is seeking a Technical Lead for Simulation to own the architecture of the simulation platform and validation gates for autonomy releases. You will drive log replay, scenario execution, and build-vs-buy decisions, while mentoring engineers.

You will lead cross-team efforts across autonomy, robotics, safety, and testing, ensuring deterministic, reproducible simulation results and scalable tooling. This onsite San Francisco role offers growth and impact in real-world automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years as a technical lead or engineering manager.
• Experience with a simulation platform in production CI, determinism and reproducibility.
• Hands-on experience building log replay at scale.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with an autonomous vehicle or robotics platform.
• Must be onsite in San Francisco five days a week.
