Job summary

The University of Southern Mississippi seeks a Simulation and Educational Technology Specialist to coordinate student compliance and deliver AHA BLS instruction while supporting the CNHP simulation center and instructional technology needs.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance records, assisting with simulation operations, and collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance educational outcomes and accreditation efforts at CNHP.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in technology or related field and experience in healthcare/education/compliance.
• AHA-BLS instructor certification or ability to obtain.
• Notary Public commission or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage nursing student compliance activities, including fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screenings.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and instruct BLS courses; maintain certification records and course logistics.
• Provide operational and technical support for the Simulation Center: setup, maintenance, inventory, vendor coordination.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computers, printers, software, and classroom technology.
• Provide technical assistance and training to promote effective use of instructional technology and simulation resources.
• Maintain records and ensure confidentiality and security of student and departmental data.
• Perform duties to support departmental operations, accreditation efforts, and CNHP mission.
