Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking a Patient Simulation Specialist I to support the Paris Simulation Center's educational activities. You will run simulations, teach Basic Life Support classes, and manage equipment, supplies, and scheduling for faculty, staff, and students.

Ideal candidates combine clinical knowledge with technical or computer skills and strong organizational abilities for coordinating daily operations and tours, with collaboration across IT and teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills for coordinating simulations and schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively with small groups about medical topics and teaching technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the Simulation Center by preparing for sessions and activities, including session set-up and clean-up of simulators and facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance of simulators.
• Run simulation sessions with faculty, staff, students and other learners; teach Basic Life Support classes.
• Coordinate and maintain schedule of Simulation Center sessions and activities.
• Perform general office duties: answering the phone, entering evaluation data, filing, ordering supplies.
• Set up and operate the Simulation Center's Virtual Reality system for educational delivery.
• Coordinate with IT to manage and update the Sim Center's website pages.
• Lead or assist with tours of the space; support Director of Operations as needed.
