Job summary

Kansas City University is seeking a Staff Technology Support professional to independently maintain simulation technology and assist faculty, staff, and students in using the Learning Space Medical software. The role collaborates with the IT department and supports simulation experiences for experiential learning and assessment of students.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience, plus experience with hi-fidelity simulators and center management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience.
• 3+ years with hi-fidelity simulators for UME/GME preferred.
• Proficient in center management software and SP manikin programming.
• CHSOS certified or eligible within 2 years.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain equipment for training in the Simulation center.
• Support SP simulation center equipment and learning spaces as needed.
• Provide training to faculty, staff and students in Learning Space Medical software.
• Train faculty in use of simulation and teaching strategies.
• Manage SP simulation specialists and promote their professional development.
• Participate in interviewing and training simulated patients as needed.
• Monitor student performance during simulations and assess using simulation methods.
• Maintain departmental inventory and order supplies.
