Job summary

Eurofins EAG Laboratories in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Scientist to join the SIMS group, performing analysis of thin films and material testing using Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry. The role offers hands-on experience with advanced analytical techniques and contributes to developing innovative materials.

The position requires a PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or engineering, strong writing and analytical skills, and adherence to ITAR regulations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering with experience in materials characterization and surface analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analytical work independently, including complex tasks.
• Apply standard and non-standard techniques to determine the composition, properties, and structure of materials.
• Prepare detailed reports on analytical results for customers, including interpretation of findings.
• Provide technical reviews for reports prepared by other analysts.
• Evaluate customer requests, determine testing requirements, and prepare project quotations.
• Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and performance requirements.
• Potentially direct phases of revenue‑producing projects.
