Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation and Pension Examinations for Veterans. You will review medical records, conduct focused physical assessments, and document findings for VA claims.

Position requires an NP with VA exam experience, CAQH, and a Collaborative Agreement where required. Exams take place at approved facilities; a commercial office is required and malpractice insurance must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioners (1099).
• One year NP experience or prior VA work is ideal.
• Avail. 3–7 days a month; schedule designed by you.
• Preferred experience performing Veteran exams (VA/workers comp/disability).
• Must have 2 years of clinical experience.
• CAQH number required.
• Collaborative practice agreement (where required by state).
• Office-based practice only (not home-based).
• Malpractice insurance with you as named insured.

Contract Position to do Compensation, Pension and Disability Examinations

Must have your own OFFICE.

Your Office Must be at a Commercial Location (Not Home Based)

Must have Your Own Malpractice Insurance (Where You are the Named Insured)

Must have Commercial Liability Insurance for Your Practice Location

Must have CAQH Number.

Must have a Collaborative Agreement (if required by your state)

Qualifications:

• Board-certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioners (1099)

• Design your own schedule (7 days a week, weekends encouraged). Availability of at least 3 to 7 days a month is preferred.
• Preferred experience performing Veteran exam, workman’s compensation exams or any disability exams Prior VA employee or any relationship with Veterans.
• Must have 2 years of Clinical Experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans
• Complete a thorough review of digital medical records
• Conduct a physical assessment based on specific disability claims
• Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
• All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided.
• Must be able to perform exams a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week
• If you have your own practice, you can conduct these exams with a flexible schedule that works with your current patient scheduling.
