Job Summary:
Operates a variety of heavy equipment, vehicles, and tools used in construction and/or plant production activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams.
- Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies.
- Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
- Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and other mobile equipment used in construction projects and/or support of production operations.
- Operate other tools and equipment as required for assigned tasks.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance tasks, such as greasing and checking oil and fluids.
- Drive company vehicles to worksites and company locations when authorized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- 1-2 years of related heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
- Ability to work professionally with others, independently, and under deadline pressure.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
Physical Requirements:
- Wears and maintains PPE as required.
- Lifts and moves up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Uses hands to manipulate objects and communicate.
- Stands, walks, sits, reaches, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls frequently.
- Works on feet for long periods, often on uneven terrain.
- Exposed to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, vibration, weather conditions, dust, chemicals, and occasionally works at heights or with electrical risks.
