The University of Tampa, based in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, is seeking a Sim Technician to support simulation-based teaching across academic programs. This full-time, on-site role prepares, sets up, operates and maintains simulation equipment, manikins and related tech to ensure realistic clinical scenarios for learners.
You will collaborate with faculty to configure rooms, run scenarios, and provide ongoing technical support.

The Sim Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, supporting simulation-based teaching and learning within the University of Tampa’s academic programs. This position prepares, sets up, operates and maintains simulation equipment, manikins and related technologies to ensure realistic clinical and laboratory scenarios for learners. The Sim Technician collaborates with faculty and staff to configure rooms, test equipment, load scenarios, and provide technical support before, during and after simulation sessions. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing inventory of supplies and consumables, and assisting with the scheduling and coordination of simulation activities. The role also involves documenting equipment usage, supporting data capture and reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement of simulation operations and learner experience.
