Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking a part-time Silver Sneakers Exercise Instructor for the Schalmo Family YMCA in Canal Fulton, OH. Classes occur every other Monday morning for two sessions and every Tuesday morning, with occasional fill-ins at Schalmo Family YMCA and Paul & Carol David YMCA in Jackson Township.

The role starts with a pay range of $11.00–$16.00 per hour. Training will be provided to tailor classes for senior participants, leveraging strong interpersonal and communication

Qualifications

• Willing to specialize in the Senior population; training provided.
• Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide.
• Certification from a nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency.
• Able to teach multiple formats, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm.
• Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants.
• Serve as a good role model.
• Communicate with team members.
• Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide.

Part-time Silver Sneakers Exercise Instructor who can teach at the Schalmo Family YMCA in Canal Fulton, OH

- Every other Monday morning for two classes

- Every Tuesday morning

- Able to fill in at the Schalmo Family YMCA and Paul & Carol David YMCA(Jackson Township) as needed

Starting rate

$11.00 - $16.00
