Job summary

The Allegro team is seeking a hands-on Product Validation Engineer (PVE) in New Hampshire. You will design and automate bench tests to validate first-silicon performance for automotive sensors, across -40°C to 150°C, collaborating with Analog Design, Systems and Test Engineering.

You will analyze data, support test hardware, and help ensure world-class quality while growing in a structured, cross-functional environment at Allegro.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of hands-on semiconductor lab evaluation, characterization, or validation experience.
• Proficiency with bench test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, SMUs, AWGs, DMMs).
• Experience with test automation languages (Python preferred, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or C/C++).
• Strong understanding of analog, mixed-signal circuits (op-amps, regulators, ADCs, sensor front-ends).
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, SENT, or CAN protocols.
• Basic statistical data analysis skills (histograms, standard deviation, CPK).
• Clear communicator and proactive collaborator in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and execute automated bench test setups and scripts across temperature and voltage corners.
• Characterize analog and mixed-signal performance to meet requirements and datasheet specs.
• Support validation timelines and assist in custom bench hardware and socketed test boards.
• Perform bench-to-system and bench-to-ATE correlation studies to establish robust test limits.
• Document silicon anomalies and participate in root-cause debugging with design leads.
• Compile data and contribute to executive summaries and milestone presentations.
