Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Silicon Reliability Testing in Bastrop, TX. You will lead package- and wafer-level reliability programs for high-volume Starlink production, coordinating with silicon, packaging, and manufacturing teams.

You’ll plan and execute accelerated life tests, develop custom test hardware, and create automation tools in Python to log telemetry and analyze data, driving design improvements for higher yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related field.
• Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related field with focus on semiconductors, characterization, or test.

Responsibilities

• Own package-level and wafer-level reliability qualification and testing for high-volume production.
• Plan, develop, execute, and analyze reliability test campaigns per JEDEC and related standards.
• Develop and procure test hardware, fixturing, burn-in boards, and environmental chambers required for reliability testing.
• Design PCBs and electrical interfaces for reliability test fixtures and monitoring systems.
• Develop software and data acquisition tools (e.g., Python) to control test equipment and analyze large datasets.
• Perform hands-on debugging and root-cause analysis of silicon, packaging, and interconnect failures.
